Once a upon a time….

Just finished a one week “holiday” training camp in sungei gedong camp. Went back to familiarise with the operation of the AVLB (check out the photo to see how my tank look like). Previously, I was from AETC, Armoured Engineer Training Center, under the vocation of Combat Engineer. That was in 2001. Now I am under 6 Div, 54 SAB. It’s already 7 years. How time flies….

Meet up with old buddies and other lao jiao (older birds). Nowadays, I feel the trainees and NSFs are more better welfared and taken care of.

The whole place has changed compared to when I came back in 2006. Old buildings torn down. New buildings buildings erected. Added in new beds, cupboards, king-coiled mattress. Better toilet facilities. Still part of the area is under construction and not fully-operational yet. Even the old D801 is gone. The big tankshed is replaced with new multi-storey buildings.

Incidentally, the SAF day happened to fall on my ICT 2nd day. So the reservists joined in the parade with the active units and recite the SAF pledge and sing the national anthem.

Yesterday (06 Mar 2008) was not a good day for me. You know why? My internet connection was down. I couldn’t connect up to the internet for the whole day. So I ended up having to do other offline things. Without an internet connection, a part of my life seems to have come to a halt. On a normal day, I would use the internet to check my mailbox for the latest gossip, promotions and happenings. Then I would log into friendster to leave comments, update profile or just browse around. After which I would drop by ebay or yahoo auction to source for best deal or just window-shop. If I am in mood, I would log in to uVme to play some games. Otherwise I would do my website or create new website. If not, I would write a post on my blog. During all these time, my msn would be alive and online for friends to find and chat with me. Just imagine, what could I do when my internet connection went on "holiday" !! My life is almost 90% dependent on the cyberspace.

Wow!! Look like I have not written here for some time…

From the last post till now, not much had happened. I was just going through the UPs and downs of Life. Adjustments had to be made to suit the current status.

What happened was, I quit my job on around Oct 2007. Not because that I found a better one. In fact, its the opposite. I didn’t want to work anymore. Not because I kena terminal disease or was handicapped. I was going to work for myself, look for my own income.

Once I started working for myself, I was going through a change in attitude and mindset. From a employee to a employer. From a lazy bum at work to being proactive in looking for $$. If not, no work, no $$, no food… sometimes, procrastination and laziness do creep in from nowhere and slow down my work but my Sting (Frodo’s sword) is always around to clear any obstacle. Changing do take time and effort.

Ok, back to my work….

6 weeks has passed since i last wrote my post. The time so quickly but there are still alot to be done. Targets are not met. Goals seem impossible to reach. All hell could break loose if not kept at bay under tight security. Mentally and emotionally under test and hopefully a feeble result could provide comfort. Wish there were some kind of will-power potion or instant-result wand that could fulfil everything and save the day. But living on this earth is no fairy tale and dragons, hobbits, R2D2 were non-existent imaginary. Pray that persistence, burning desire and courage can bring fore a guiding lamp in the gloomiest journey.

The mind began to wander back…

Only 2 months back, the mind was in a see-saw state. Being indecisive was really terrible. One moment the brain favoured a thing. The other moment, the heart had conquered the brain. If only, cloning bills are legalized and allowed in singapore. Being in two states with no absolute result was a burden and torture. Somehow or rather a choice must be reached. A difficult decision. An emotional roll-coaster. A dagger waiting to strike. The bitter, heart-wrenching pill had to be swallowed. The mind and heart finally came to a consensus and in union, agreed on the greater damage. A lethal stab right at the heart. Never before was the wound so deep. A fellowship broken. The eternal end to a battle-hardened partnership forged through months. Leaving behind etched memories of past triumphs. The pain was tremendous. So was the euphoric feeling of a burden released and a long-anticipated liberated future.

One door is closed. Another door opens, leading to….

Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence using 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10. Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again back to 1.
This was what he came up with…

1 day I go 2 climb up a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me so I panic and 4 down. The man rush out and wanted to 5 with me. I run so fast until I fall 6 and throw up. So I go into 7 eleven and grab some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab him. 10 God he run away. So, I put  the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7 eleven. Next day, I call my boss and say I am 6 . He said 5, tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asks me to climb a 3 and jump down. I don’t understand, I so nice 2
him but I don’t know what he 1 .

Hi, pple… This msg will be a chop chop one. After tat, i am going to sleep. Haiz, tmr still have to work. So how’s the GSS? I guess most of you(s) hit e streets and made many killings, won a few ‘trophies’, and gladly beat the GST increment b4 1st july. Shopping has become a part of our life. That’s veri true, u know. Pple shop for many reasons. To spend money. Jus window-shop w/o buying. Buy basic items. Shop to reduce stress. Whatever, e reasons, one thing for sure is… That shopping mall doesn’t belong to us !!… So how do like e idea of owning a shopping mall, all by yourself ?! For e price of nothing… Yeah !! Nothing !!
